[vc_section][vc_row][vc_column][ut_header title_linebreak_mobile=”on” lead_linebreak_mobile=”on” title=”Becket Wren”][/ut_header][vc_column_text] Becket Wren lives every day by the quote, “Excellence is never an accident. It is the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, skillful execution, and the vision to see obstacles as opportunities” (Anonymous). He sincerely believes that excellence is not achievable but is merely an unattainable goal that one can pursue. As an aspiring lawyer with incommensurable potential, sedulous motivation, and a latent desire to exceed expectations with diligence but without acknowledgment, he believes that determination is what makes a dream into a goal, and diligence combined with persistence is what makes goals into achievements. He believes that “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work” (Thomas Edison). He’s not scared of failure because failure is not doing something wrong, it is doing something different and believing you did something wrong.
He is a self-driven and self-criticizing leader that wants to achieve something truly spectacular with his life in a community full of remarkable. He is an aspiring lawyer because he has seen an opportunity to vastly improve my communication skills, creative thinking, and mindset towards the world. He wants to see opportunities where others see obstacles. He wants to see a solution when others only see a problem. He wants to see a chance to grow where others only see failure. Perfecting the study and practice of law is not achievable, and that is why he is so drawn to it. Because when there is no limit, you can go only as high as you imagine.
He has continuously been working hard for my entire life, so he can achieve what others can only imagine. He believes that what you do now will shape what you can do tomorrow. He trusts that if he is willing to do what others are not willing to do today, then he will be able to do what others are not able to do tomorrow. Every day he challenges himself to stretch my limits, achieve the impossible, and to exceed expectations. He participates in community service weekly, practices soccer continuously, and studies so he can satisfy his quest for excellence. He lives to see how close he can get to excellence because, “If you set your goals ridiculously high and it’s a failure, you will fail above everybody else” (James Cameron). Don’t be afraid of failure, be fearful of being average.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][/vc_section]
